Well he's too fat to leg out a double, so ...I don't think McCarthy is a base hit.

I think he is more than capable of taking a team like the Giants and building them into a playoff team. I don't think he is cutting edge or brilliant. He isn't a top 5 coach in the NFL. But he is good. Maybe even very good. I guess I call that a base hit. Call it what you want. But it's a smart move that I hope they don't make.I don't think McCarthy is a base hit.
Maybe we can get a classic YOLO Jameis game on Sunday against the Packers before he reverts to his normal bullshit.
I think it was 25-30. Somewhere in there. How much did Mike Tag cost?
Not really, just wait and see really. Is that LOL-worthy, though? Seems like a good coaching prosect to me.
Daboll was a really good coaching prospect at one point too, you never really know.
All true, although a hire like that probably has a higher ceiling than McCarthy in his current state, just a much lower floor.Right, exactly. I'd far rather see them hire an unproven guy than a proven HC. Maybe Shula will be an awesome HC, but I'll take my chances over a guy that we know is good.
Lots of young promising coaching prospects flame out. I think sometimes people don't appreciate the fact that what it takes to be a good coordinator is a different skill set than what it takes to be a good HC.
