I have a friend in the helicopter business and he always warns me that helicopters are dangerous, relatively speaking, versus planes, cars and trains. Especially the helicopter tours.

Helios, as a vehicle, are much safer than a plane (esp. with an experienced, qualified pilot)... in an emergency, helicopters can land quicker and, if they lose power, can still perform a controlled landing under "auto-rotation". To your point though, helicopters are much more difficult to pilot.

I did a helicopter tour with my daughter a couple of years ago in HawaiI. Really beautiful but being in a helicopter just feet from a sheer rock cliff is nerve wracking to say the least. Probably won’t do another one.

Man....I was no Lakers fan and I'm not a huge basketball fan but this is really bothering me.

It's just making it much worse that any of his children were onboard.

I'm truly stunned and sick to my stomach.
