And the hard part is you watch other defense and they make it look easy. The Bears defense is insane good at creating them. Yet Dallas just never seems to have any idea how to do it.Our ability to generate turnovers sucks.
Over the past 20 years, I’d say turnover creation, not offense, is our biggest failure against good teams
In our five playoff losses, how many turnovers have we created total?
Its putrid.
In those five losses, our giveaways isn’t bad, either. Five total giveaways (excluding 2007 Hail Mary INT).And the hard part is you watch other defense and they make it look easy. The Bears defense is insane good at creating them. Yet Dallas just never seems to have any idea how to do it.
Answer is two (2)...Our ability to generate turnovers sucks.

I think it's a big part of it. I can't remember the year but we had Paul Pasqualoni come in as an interim defensive coordinator and suddenly turnovers came in bunches. It's mostly about coverages. Some will create more turnovers for sure.im starting to believe its our system that doesnt promote takeaways. we are too consistent at not taking the ball away.
Notice how all of the LBers and DBs are turned and moving towards the ball on the first INT in this video? That's what I think it not being coached to our players.im starting to believe its our system that doesnt promote takeaways
Actually "Rashard" did coach LVE to play like crap, just like he's coached the rest of that defense to play like crap. because he's a crap fucking coach. Just like Garrett.I’m sorry you’re sick of it but Garrett didn’t coach amari to drop that ball. Rashard didn’t coach LVE to play like a retard. There are some coaching decisions you can question but this loss was mostly about execution.
I remember a game at the Cardinals in 1992 or 1993 where the team was playing pretty lethargic and for one of the few times the OL was not playing well. Jimmy went to the bench where the unit was sitting together and went into a massive tirade against them. The next couple of series the OL beasted and we pulled away. Jimmy also melted down on Charles Haley once in 1992 at Denver.Prescott made a comment about their 3-0 overconfidence.
Jimmuh was known to lay into the team harder during a win streak, especially a blowout win, and be more nurturing after a tough loss.
You need to read that story about the plane ride home in 1992 following that loss at Washington near the end of the season. Michael Irvin said Jimmy lost his shit because he thought the team was too accepting of the tough loss, and Jimmy made their life fucking miserable the whole plane ride back.Prescott made a comment about their 3-0 overconfidence.

54-55 yd FG's are hardly easy shit. I know the 2nd one was a gimmee but the first one never should have been attempted considering the situation at the time.I agree 100%. Obviously kickers miss kicks all the time, but Maher for whatever reason misses the easy shit.
I don’t blame Maher for being a average kicker, I blame the lazy owner and coaching staff for sticking with a guy everyone who can see is a suck ass kicker.
Zoners posted this shit too, I guess trying to make some ignorant take about how cutting Bailey was a mistake. But he was bad for Minnesota last yr just like he was bad for us the end of his last season here and not much better in the offseason and training camp that followed. In fact Minnesota was so confident in Bailey this past TC that they traded for another kicker (who ended up sucking and got cut)
There was holding there, but it was by the GB defender.
Yep, agree 100%Jerry does suck, no doubt about it. But they have, by skill or dumb luck, assembled a very talented team. And a good coach would get much better results out of them. Jerry isn't the one repeatedly botching clock management, settling for 52 yard windy field goals at the end of games, freezing his own kicker, or otherwise misusing the talent we do have on game days.
That's why I'm not on the "Nothing matters as long as Jerry is the owner" wagon.
Not saying 55 yard field goals are easy shit....but if a guy can’t make a 35 yard field goal how can you trust him with a 50+ yard field goal to win a game on the road in a playoff game with 5 seconds left.54-55 yd FG's are hardly easy shit. Maher sux, but honestly there hasn't been much available they could have gotten to replace him. For whatever reason, there seems to be a real lack of quality kickers now league-wide.
Besides, Garrett needs Maher here for his next excuse for why a season was a failure.
the MFer just made 50 and 62.Not saying 55 yard field goals are easy shit....but if a guy can’t make a 35 yard field goal how can you trust him with a 50+ yard field goal to win a game on the road in a playoff game with 5 seconds left.
You can’t, just like you can’t trust Garrett or Marinelli/Richard in a close game against real teams.
Aaaaaannnndd missed a 30-something yarder.the MFer just made 50 and 62.
Our beloved "GM" was not gonna have any of that shit and I suspect began plotting for Jimmys departure during that flight if not well beforeYou need to read that story about the plane ride home in 1992 following that loss at Washington near the end of the season.
