Obviously going to extend either Dak or Parsons, most likely Dak, because there's a 0.00% chance they extend a guy with a full 4th year plus a 5th year option remaining on his deal.
Yeah, I mean this was intentional. Otherwise they would have front loaded the Lamb contract more to give us relief in up coming years.

The front office should just be prepared to pay its superstars whatever they demand like the good little bitch hillbillies they are. Destroyed yet again. :lol

Yep, Jerry is still paying for letting Cabo Zeke bend him over.

It's like these dummies don't realize the entire agent world saw that.

The guy on Twitter insists he's right but I don't think he is. He claims we were 28 mil under the cap before the CeeDee extension and there's no way that's correct... Is it? Don't think so.

I don't think he is right either but even if he is, I'm sure he is wrong on the rolling it over part of all that. Lamb's cap number is going to be low this year but you know at some point down the road it balloons. So you might as well be prepared for those days to come by carrying some money over. It's not like we are going to be active in free agency now. Hell, even Dak's numbers probably go down this year if we extend him. It's the way this shit works.

He's claiming only a set percentage can be rolled over, and after this extension we're 42 million under the cap, which is more than is allowed to be carried over.

But there's no way that's correct. We'd have heard that 42 number all offseason if it were. I think he saw a number without CD on the roster (since we put him on the inactive list or whatever).

I'm pretty sure anyway. :unsure

There is a minimum cash you must spend. I don't think there is a maximum amount you can roll over on the cap from year to year. That's why you get some teams with just insane cap space, like over 100 mil type cap space. They've carried over cap from multiple lean years with little to no talent.

Maybe Dak’s cap hit will be front loaded to this season. $70M cap hit this year with $50M/yr thereafter to free up space for Parsons extension.

I don't think that's right either. I think prior to the extension we were about 10 million under from what I've read.

And I've also read that you apparently can roll over 100% of your cap space.

We were 10m below the cap before that contract.

Yeah, the guy arguing with him said it was 8-something, which sounds much more plausible.

Ordinarily I'd accuse Jerry of caving, but this time the player deserves it.

We had better sign Dak after watching Trey Lance throw 5 picks. That was brutal.
