1. Best uniforms ever

2. For 1979, he came scary close to making that 60-yarder.

You know I wasn't a fan, but to each their own preferences.

Jim Hart always came alive vs Dallas. That guy could throw the football
For some reason, some of my earliest Cowboys memories are of STL making us wear the blue jerseys there. And that astroturf field near the Arch. And of Jim Hart and Mel Gray and Metcalf killing us.

apnews.com:

Cowboys fans start moaning whenever Dallas takes the field in blue jerseys, expecting a loss. Brandt says the idea of that jinx stems from an early defeat in St. Louis. The Cardinals made their rivals wear blue jerseys and then beat Dallas. The next season, a billboard near their hotel greeted the Cowboys boasting that Dallas would be jinxed by being forced to wear blue again.

“So then that started it,” Brandt said of the rumored jinx. “And on occasion, we had everybody wanting us to wear blue jerseys on the road.”

Those uniforms were glorious but those bastards played us so damn tough. We split practically every year until they split for Arizona.

This is great stuff right here and the kind of material I miss hearing in press conferences from good coaches.

What makes this story even better is that he and Jimmy became really good friends later on and he would often go fishing with him in the off-season and continued to pick his brain over the years.

It says a lot about what Bill Belichick thinks of him that he was still going to him for advice even when he was in the middle of winning all those Super Bowls with the Patriots.

Funny story but that host is horrible.

Why feel the need to just repeat what Belichick just said?
:lol I almost said the same thing. What did he think he was adding saying the same words only coming out of his spare mouth?

And you know Belichick was thinking it also.

Because that's what people with no skills have to do to fake talent.
I didn't realize until I saw that later that the bearded guy is Matt Patricia. :lol

I guess the pencil behind the ear should have given it away. @booze

That drives me insane. Even in real life.

I can always spot a dolt. They use pencils and they store the device in their cap (backwards) or behind the ear.
