He said that he had plenty of say in this roster. I know that Lance and pretty sure Mingo wasn't on him but he was evidently good with punting on FA.
Actually though, when he was asked that at the PC he went straight to the draft and the greater input he had on that here vs. what he had at Green Bay. He didn't say anything about trades or FA. There's no way in hell he wanted Zeke back, and we know Jerry didn't even ask him before the Lance trade.

Yeah, so basically we give him a voice in the draft room. A small voice but a voice. Which just happens to be more than Green Bay gave him.

I also promise you no one in Green Bay told him who he could or couldn't start at QB or RB. And yet I'm certain Jerry has with regards to playing Lance or benching Zeke during the first half of the season.

If we win 9 and get into the playoffs with Rush and the rest of our issues, McCarthy deserves a contract extension.
I agree, but on the other hand, look at the utter absurdity of the blowout loss to New Orleans and the SF game. And that is giving his fat ass a pass for the Eagles and Lions not breaking a sweat. It depends on how those 9 look to me.

I mean depending on how things go the rest of the year you can put some of that on a defense learning a new scheme and young players developing. But it all depends how we finish from here in my opinion.

I'm fine with moving on from Mike, but do you think a new coach is going to get us farther without some pretty massive talent upgrades?
Of course not. The only way to improve this team is find a HC who will bring in an OC to highlight the limited things Dak is good at, and Jerry somehow opens up the wallet and actually addresses the needs on offense and defense. They might get lucky and pluck a couple starters out of the draft but any real immediate improvement will need to come from coaching and FA.
