Truthfully though, even though in the past he's looked better than he did in 2020, I've always been skeptical of Wentz and I'm not sure there's anything anyone can do to help him.
This.

Sometimes you have those gifted stretches where nothing can go wrong, and that was certainly true of Wentz in 2017.

Philly's Superbowl run was a miracle and this guy had nothing to do with it.

One thing Wentz is though is a grinder. If the game is close in the 4th quarter, he gets more focused as a QB and gets better at both passing and keeping plays alive.

But just like in ND, he needs his defense to keep the game close.

You're the expert, but I do recall draft publications claiming NDSU had a good defense during Wentz's time.

He really needed it in Philly, I know that much.
They did have a very good defense. (still do) But Wentz didn't need them to keep games close. He was shredding defenses in his own right. With both his arm and his legs. He may be struggling now, but he was certainly no reach where he was drafted. He deserved to go where he did. Not his fault he ended up with Pederson. He was doing pretty well under Reich to start his career. And we all know what happened to that entire team once he left.

I think it is clear he needed a voice in his head. Reich was that.

The Cowboys’ 6-10 season hasn’t stopped other teams from considering members of the team’s coaching staff for job openings.

Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore interviewed for the vacant Eagles head coaching job Tuesday, a source confirmed. Moore has spent the last two seasons as the Cowboys offensive coordinator. His unit finished 14th in yards gained in 2020 and No. 1 in 2019.

Moore has three years of coaching experience, serving as the Cowboys quarterbacks coach in 2018.

Moore was also a candidate for the vacancy at Boise State, his alma mater, but pulled out of the running for that job. Andy Avalos, a former player and coach with Boise State, was named head coach Jan. 9.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported the Eagles are also interested in speaking with Cowboys special teams coordinator John Fassel.

Fassel was the Rams special teams coordinator for eight seasons before losing his job after the 2019 season. Fassel improved a dismal Cowboys special teams unit despite relying on numerous rookies.

Bears consider defensive assistant: A source said the Bears are interested in Cowboys senior defensive assistant George Edwards for their vacant defensive coordinator position. Edwards has been a defensive coordinator with Washington, Buffalo and Minnesota.

Edwards, a noted linebackers coach, was expected to be retained by the Cowboys under new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. If he joins the Bears, the Cowboys would have another vacancy on the defensive staff to fill.

The Cowboys are still seeking a defensive line coach after Jim Tomsula was fired.

RB coach to interview with Bengals: Former Cowboys RB coach Gary Brown, who sat out the 2020 season for health reasons, is scheduled for an interview with the Bengals, NFL Network reports. Brown, who is closely attached to Ezekiel Elliott, spent seven seasons in Dallas from 2013-19.

DB coach to Michigan: Defensive back coach Maurice Linguist, fired after just one season, was hired by Michigan as its co-defensive coordinator/cornerbacks coach according to 247 Sports.
