That's a fair point but I would choose this version of Pickens over any version of Cooper every day of the week.
Same, if for no other reason than he fits better with Lamb, but I do think what Pickens is doing this year is more impressive than anything we saw out of Cooper.
I said it last night but I truly believe that we could be looking at something historically special between Pickens/Lamb over the next 3-5 years. A duo that is special enough to potentially be up there with some of the all-time great duos of the last 20-30 years.
Holt/Bruce, Moss/Carter, Harrison/Wayne and so forth.
The thing is that both Pickens and Lamb will be in their prime over the next 3-5 years, while Dak largely will be as well.
With some of those duos you had aging guys (Carter, Harrison) or unstable QB play (Cunningham and whatever followed in Minnesota) so there was maybe only a 2-3 year overlap of guys in their prime along with the necessary QB play, if that.
All we need is for these whores who run the team to unclench their ass cheeks and get out their checkbook.
