I've seen Colston Loveland rated higher.

There's no chance Loveland goes higher unless Warren has some sort of injury issue.

Yeah I think that's people just dragging behind in their evaluations. Coming into this season Loveland was rated higher. But Warren went straight beast mode this season. He looks pretty legit to me. And he is hell at the after catch stuff to tackle. Loveland might be a good prospect, honestly I have paid zero attention to the TEs. I only watched Warren because Penn State is relevant and he stands out as their best player when you watch them. Which is impressive because they have a couple of really good RBs that I was really watching them for.

On a side note I wonder if the Penn State QB is going to reconsider declaring for the draft.

Very. I think he's been exposed as a side piece not a main piece. I wouldn't mind an upgrade, but we just have so many other holes to address.

And that's why I'd be comfortable taking Warren in the first if we trade back or if the board is really strange at 12.

Ferguson only has a year left on his deal anyway.

I love Warren but he would be tough to swallow at 12.

I think Ferguson is better than he showed this year. And people are discounting him for it a bit too much. He was dinged up all year, and in the beginning of the year, he was asked more to help with our Oline that was still trying to get it's feet under it. On top of that, as people love to point out ad nauseum, Dak was not having his best showing. Then, in comes Rush. Not a good combination.

I have zero interest in taking a TE in the first few rounds. Or at all, really. Not unless it is an absolute no brainer of a value. We have way too many holes on this team, and TE is not one of them. Would an upgrade be nice? Sure. But it's far down on the list of things that his holding this team back.

If after next year it looks like we still need an upgrade at TE? Sure. Sign me up then.
