These corners are fast.

Like Porter from Iowa State running a 4.3? Just crazy. Barron with an excellent 4.4 is almost slow compared to some of the others.

So today is my favorite day of the combine. WRs, RBs and QBs out there. The 40s should be fun for the receivers and RBs and seeing the QBs throw the ball is always an interesting workout.

Skattebo jumped 39.5. A little surprising.

Brooks from Texas Tech was only 214? I thought he was bigger. Just ran 4.53.

Ollie Gordon, 226, ran 4.61. Yikes.

Hampton 221 and 4.47 and doesn't look like the best form.

Dang, RJ Harvey 4.41. Nice.

Henderson 202 4.43.

Kaleb Johnson 221 and 4.58. Ugh. Form didn't look good. Might improve on that or maybe he hasn't been coached as well on the 40.

Judkins 221 and 4.48.

He had no problem outrunning everyone in college football. I don't worry too much about RB 40 times unless they are alarming bad. Like you get in that 4.65-4.7 range and it beco.es something to worry about.

DJ Giddens on the other hand gets knocked for being slow and he can run a 4.4. Really good back by the way. I've said before he doesn't look slow to me.

Mongai 4.62
Neal 4.60
Brashard Smith 4.42
Tuten 4.38 Boom

And yeah, I missed Giddens earlier, 4.43. Better than I would have thought.

It's obvious to me that some of these guys let this 40 get in their head. You can almost see that they're too tight and trying too hard. I would bet the guys like that weren't track guys in high school and don't know how to relax as much.

But none of that really matters on the field.

I would take Tahj Brooks in the 3rd and not even blink.

Yeah Kaleb Johnson and Hampton both had some weird steps in those first 10 yards. But you can see they start to explode after that when they start just running normal.

In this class I'd have him in the fifth. Just better backs in the third.

In another year I'd probably be cool with him in the late third early fourth. Just not this year.

Tuten 4.32 on his second run. Whoa.

Smith 4.39 on his second.

Watching the 40s of the RBs just reminds me how many RBs I really love in this draft. Sometimes I forget some of these dudes because there are so many good ones.

I’d like to see us take one in the first three rounds and another in the 5th

General note, of course I understand why they do it and all, but I think I hate the 40 more than ever. I haven't watched these in a long time, and I'm surprised how coached and overcoached they are. Also a little surprised that some look so awkward doing it. Like I said before, some guys are more natural track guys, and some you can tell don't feel comfortable and are a little tight, probably because they're overthinking all the coaching they've been given. Which wouldn't happen and doesn't matter in a football game.

I say we do it just to irritate booze.
If you want to irritate Booze then you might want to hope that we draft Skattebo.

Can you imagine the nicknames that would be brought up?

Then put Turpin in the backfield with him and we can watch the blood vessels pop.
