Fuck no.Can Dak make that throw?![]()
they just said somethingNFL kinda quiet about Helene damage, no?
Its funny I liked Barton and thought he would be a great fit here. LT, mobile, will shift inside to center or guard, has a nasty streak.I think Beebe is probably better than Barton, this dude is getting horsewhipped tonight.
I think Barton has been pretty solid so far but he's been terrible tonight, while Beebe has looked rock steady all year. Its funny I liked Barton and thought he would be a great fit here. LT, mobile, will shift inside to center or guard, has a nasty streak.
But everything I just said is true about Beebe. And we got him in the third round. Ultimately if you look back at it, were my evaluations of the players really all that different? Nope, not really. But I would have been good on Barton in the first.
So why was Barton higher for you? It's an interesting thought. I'd say I had Barton higher because well, that was the concensus. But when I think about it, what I loved about Barton is almost spot on for what I loved about Beebe. If I was being honest and not letting the concensus sort of cloud my judgment, I would have had them neck and neck. They really weren't all that different. Sure Beebe was a little thicker and Barton has probably longer arms. But they probably should have been pretty close prospects.I had Barton higher than Beebe for sure but I think it was only by about 10-15 spots, which is pretty insignificant compared to how far apart they went.
Barton was (is?) more athletic and had more upside as a LT, while also having actually played center for a significant period in college. If Beebe had actually played center in college I probably would've have them more or less equal. So why was Barton higher for you? It's an interesting thought. Yeah, I never really viewed him as a potential LT in the NFL. And despite having played center he hadn't played it since like his freshman year. And even then he started what like 5 games at center? I guess that is more than Beebe. And you're right, I hadn't really thought much of Beebe at center in the draft. I sort of viewed him as a pure guard, because I wasn't aware he could play center. Which is probably why I wasn't as high on him.Barton was (is?) more athletic and had more upside as a LT, while also having actually played center for a significant period in college.
