After the season opener I think I said something like there was maybe a 25-30% chance he becomes a Pro Bowl/All Pro-type player, at this point I'm pretty comfortable bumping that to about 90%.

It's basically a guarantee barring injury and he's probably our second most important building block on defense behind Parsons.

I'll have to watch the all-22 to really see how he did but this is what I was hoping for in terms of the rest of the season, to have some younger guys play well in games that have some sort of minor stakes and show they could be the building blocks we've expected them to be.

I've watched countless football games in my life. That's one of the best defensive plays I've ever seen. So many good things happened in the span of seconds. Just his absolute blasting of the block attempt was glorious. Then he makes what I can only describe as a basketball rebound-type play on the tip to himself. So much athleticism. Unreal.
When picked in the draft, he wasn't even seen as a great choice here if I remember right. All I needed was this.

I was pretty bullish on the pick, I preferred Trenton Simpson who went a few picks before and is playing really well in Baltimore, but I thought people on the board were too hard on the Overshown pick itself.

He's definitely exceeded my expectations though.

Beebe did get his ass whooped on one of the failed 4th down runs by Sexy Dexy

I don't think I had an opinion at the time. Knew it was a position of need and of course I don't like the fact that he is a Longhorn. Surprisingly enough don't think I was vocal about that at all.

I'll admitt I didn't love the pick. I thought he sort of had the former safety playing LBer Dan Quinn feel to him. I didn't think he would be physical enough. In hindsight he has added some weight and hasn't lost a step of athletic ability.

Depending on what position you think Andrew Van Ginkel plays, Overshown has the most sacks in the league for a non-full time DE/DT/edge rusher.

I posted about this as soon as it happened. Too funny.

Reminds me about the old Obama skit about him ignoring the whites.

He didn’t ignore them, they just didn’t get dapped up. They got regular hand shakes

McCarthy totally shafted the Deuce here.

The postgame show was saying last night that they really didn't want to put Tyler at LT.

I hope they were totally wrong. It was Broaddus, so good chance they were.

It might have a good bit to do with keeping him at LG and therefore avoid LT money.

Part of the goal may be to go cheaper on the OL in 2025, minus Martin and Steele.
