Steele needs to go away. But there is RG also...
Between Guyton, Smith, Beebe, Bass and Richards we might have our future starting OL together.

Not in that order exactly, but those 5.

I'm sure we'd probably want to upgrade on one of them within a year or two but that could easily be a very solid group depending on how the 2nd/3rd year guys progress.

Make Asim Richards the new Steele of the draft.

I like what we've seen of Richards so far, but I would caution against anointing him after a limited sample. Steele looked good for a second also.

Competition is what we should be hoping for.

Steele was progressing into a very good RT until his knee was destroyed.

Or, you can look at his career and say he had 1 good season ever. Not sure that has anything to do with his knee since he wasn't good before that season either.

Regardless, it hardly matters because what's obvious is that he hasn't been good for 2 years since the knee injury and it's time to cut bait.

Yeah whatever the reason there are no signs he will return to his old self. Best to move on. He hurts the team on the field.

Jerry thinks he’s a “steel” of a UDFA

That equates to made-man status in Dallas
He got that Jaylon-style early contract and faded since.
