Oh man, who could've guessed this would happen with a lame duck HC coming off one of the most embarrassing playoff losses in team history?

Ah well, it's Belichick and Mason Graham time.
These players are a direct reflection of the face of the Cowboys. The guy everyone knows who is really in charge. Selfish, football stupid, and soft.

How do we explain the GB playoff loss then? Quinn was here for that.
The defense has been respectable the last few weeks despite having to start PS guys, and especially yesterday, so I don't think that's it.

If we had Dak yesterday there's a good chance we win, even with an offense that has no starting RB and a number of other guys down.

This season is just a perfect storm of dysfunction that has been exacerbated by injuries. The dysfunction is obviously Jerry's fault, but I don't blame McCarthy for losing the team, it was inevitable unless we jumped out to a hot start.

It's starting to look similar to the last year McCarthy was in Green Bay when the team just turned on him. Honestly, it would probably be best to let the guy go now.
that's preferable to looking at his bloated, unshaven face after every screwup

Quinn having one foot out the door probably didn't help that, but the lack of general preparation falls on the HC, and NOBODY was ready to play in that game.

He's right.

McCarthy has been handed a bad hand for the season and he knows he's not coming back, and yet he hasn't once thrown any of his players under the bus.

This just makes me want Belichick even more. We need someone to instill a winning attitude in these players and improve their professionalism along with changing the culture.

Belichick is the only coach out there who gives us a chance do all that so long as Jerry is still in the picture.

Exactly right. Micah, you dipshit. :doh

But did you see the story -- don't know if it was posted here -- where Micah was in Vegas during the Super Bowl and Jerry just happened to see him and give him a ride, etc.? Micah talked about how great Jerry was because he got to know them as people and always had their back.

So Micah knows where his bread is buttered, and it isn't the HC. Plus, you know Jerry loves this because it puts the spotlight on Mike and takes it off himself.

I think Jerry will leave him because if he lets him go, it'll just subject him to even more questioning and that cowardly bastard always needs to have a scapegoat.

He's said he wouldn't do that, but I dunno... I could see if if the heat gets bad enough -- which we know it will as this team may not win another game this year -- to temporarily give the fans what they want.

Of course, it would only last a week or so until we get drubbed again, but he selfishly might do it for a week's relief.

How does any of that explain what happened against GB in the playoffs last year?

The point is that it runs deeper than just Quinn is gone because it started under his tenure.

True that basically nobody was prepared to play that game (and it is exactly why McCarthy shouldn't have been brought back to begin with), and that it ultimately falls on the HC.

But it doesn't only fall on the HC.

I have a question for you guys: How do you think this year -- or the fans' reaction, anyway -- compares to 2015?

It seems to me that fans are 1000x more pissed off now than than they were that year. I always felt the Joneses got away with basically throwing away a year in 2015 with way too little heat. I know Romo was hurt that year, but the team was like yesterday, totally non-competitive. And I remember Goof Son saying basically after the year in an interview, "Oh well, all teams go through this. Just a bad year, it happens."

Maybe it's because I was so checked out during the Garrett years and not paying as much attention, but it seems like the outrage is much higher this time. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it is. I just wonder why.
