So the Cards' OC is a better choice than the possible GOAT coach or a proven guy like Vrabel?

These twitter gurus are the worst.

And here's the thing -- that OC doesn't have years under his belt of being considered an offensive guru or something along those lines.

He's just hot right now.

Remember how hot Bob Slowik was last year with the Texans because of how good CJ Stroud looked and because of how they improved so much overnight?

Well, now I look at him. They're saying that the play calling has changed and that it's become too predictable.

My point is, if I'm going to go after some Hot shot coordinator, then it needs to be a guy that has shown the ability to sustain success and continuously stay ahead of the curve.

Not some flavor-of-the-month guy.

Besides, there's no point in going after any of those types so long as the Jones family runs the team the way that they do because those young and inexperienced guys who have never been a HC before will never command the respect or get the autonomy that they need to do things correctly here anyway.

It's Master William or bust.

Seriously. Or fucking Kingsbury.

Or honestly even Ben Johnson. It's like, get back to me when we have the same offensive talent that Detroit has. Except you wouldn't have to because our coach wouldn't be getting fired if we had Detroit's talent.

At least with Belichick I can see him elevating the talent already on the roster. And maybe he's washed up but I'd rather take my chances with that than a completely unproven guy with no track record of making mediocre talent work.

I mean we need to improve the offensive talent. But the cupboard isn't exactly empty. Whoever their Oline coach is I need him to come with. That whole offense starts and stops with killer blocking up front.

I agree about Johnson but I think he's a level above the others you mentioned, and I'd be happy if he ended up being the choice. With that said, I don't think he's a future Shannahan/McVay like he'll be billed and I think I'd rather roll the dice on Belichick.

Vrabel vs. Johnson is kind of a tossup for me, I think Johnson has a higher ceiling but I'd like to see someone like Vrabel toughen up some of these pussies on our roster.
