Thread Idea:

vvv- Zeke Elliott Supporters Check In Here -vvvv

To be clear, I don't support Zeke. He was great in his prime but he's well past that now. We should have done much better with the RB we brought in.

He's just not so far past his prime that Royce Freeman is better.

I don't think you're a supporter at all.

And yet you might be his biggest supporter on this board.
I think that Ernie and his cronies are the only supporters left. Nobody on this board. I hope.

I think Elliott make a a bunch of sense as a short yardage/goal line back getting around 8-10 touches a game. Who knows if that's how they'll use him but I think it makes sense.

The real problem is we don't have an actually dynamic back to pair him with.

The Ernster is a fucking moron.

Prime Joseph Randle got his shot the very next season behind one of the greatest O-lines in franchise history and he proceeded to show why he was a backup RB.

So why would he do better behind this line?
The same way Jalen Tolbert is the next Justin Jefferson.

Exactly how I feel.

If RB’s were graded only by their first carry in a game, Joseph Randle had all-timer potential.

Instead of that state mental hospital he ended up at for stealing underwear or whatever

We all joke about him but he had some extreme mental issues and his running ability wasn't great enough to make up for it. I imagine he would have had more of a role in the NFL if he wasn't batshit.

He had no stamina for the game. One burst to kick things off and he was done for the day. Really frustrating guy, but more our fault for going cheap and/or with not enough options at backup RB.
