i see it as an intentional hit and toward the dirty side. The fault player carefully moved into position and intentionally stood in the area he knew the runner was going and blind sided him.

The Travis Hunter injury:

start @ 0:22

Was it really a dirty hit?
It looks dirty to me. He wasn't playing the ball, he was just going for the big hit. Of course in the Roy days this wasn't abnormal at all.

It was really late, at least by today's standards. Kind of hard to see on that video, but the ball was already gone and Hunter had totally let up because the play was over.

It was a dirty hit that was meant to send a message. I feel bad for Hunter cause you don’t want anyone to get a major injury, but it absolutely accomplished it’s goal. The WRs were dropping balls while looking over their shoulders for the next 3 Q’s. If CSU doesn’t go into prevent mode, they win.

What ever happened to sportsmanship? Why would a player opt to try to hurt or injure an opponent? How is that helping the games sportsmanship.? It’s easy to see it when it happens and needs to be aligned with the spearing penalties because the intent is obvious and it’s a flagrant act.

Yeah one of those things that used to be common in football. But as a receiver you can't protect yourself on that type of a play. You're looking for the football and then suddenly get destroyed. You have no way of getting in position to protect yourself on that play. I feel bad for the kid, he was very seriously hurt as a result.

I’m thoroughly impressed with Deion as a coach. I’m pretty blown away. His boys are pretty impressive too.

I finally watched BS high school today. Don't watch this show unless you want to be pissed. What that man did to those high school kids was atrocious. Okay, no spoilers, but if you want to get mad, watch this show.

That coach is a straight up POS.

The craziest thing is apparently none of the stuff he did was considered a criminal offense.

I see no situation that warrants a player deliberately trying to hurt or injure an opponent. I see no circumstance that a coach should allow a player to perform this way . There are rules that govern the way players are allowed to do and when those rules are not followed then changes should occur. This incident is just one occurrence but it is evolving to a place where it seems okay to abandon the rules and opt for deliberate punishment just because you can. When that becomes a normal part of the game then the idea of sportsmanship is lost and it’s no longer a game of rules. Then what has it become. Planned and deliberate illegal actions have killed the game and it is in the same category as a street brawl.
