I agree to an extent. If you expect a bunch of rich fuckers making money hand over fist at your expense to give a shit about you, you need to learn about life.
These super-athlete types grow up in such a bubble. They're catered to and ass-kissed from the time they're 10 years old or so all the way through college, so they have no idea what the real world is like.

In fact, I'd amend what I said earlier to say that colleges and then pro teams care much more about them than your Average Company Inc. ever cares about Joe Schmoe who works for them.

The biggest thing is, if football is so evil and terrible, DON'T PLAY. Nobody is forcing you to.

I'm sorry, but no business cares about your soul. They care about your production.

And you don't really care about them. You care about the money and whatever else you get out of the job. That's just the way it is.

Your family and friends are the only people you should expect to really care about you as a person.

I don't have much sympathy for these guys who make millions of dollars and still think they're supposed to be so babied in every area of their lives.
Of course they don’t. But his main point was that you need to take care of yourself first. And that’s what he did and my hats off to anyone who leaves the game early while you still have your mental and physical health.

The cameraman should have been watching where he was going but that was absolutely a push. And that cameraman was nowhere near Davante's size. He didn't even look to see if the guy was OK. It may not have been all his fault but douche move either way.
And Gottlieb is delusional if he actually believes Adams didn't see the guy. He clearly saw the guy; thus the shove.

Gottlieb's probably just trying to play it uber safe since his ass got sued over the summer for slandering Freddie Freeman's former agent. He had to tuck tail and issue a public apology. So that's probably why he's walking on egg shells regarding this issue.

These athletes make a ton of money but they are in a bubble which is influenced in a huge part by who their agent is and also their hangers-on. I don't know about that 10 year old part. Football is a late bloomer's sport and if the catering comes from anyone it is the foolish at that age. I also don't think the young athlete is entitled. From the most part, they come from "broken homes".

And the NFL can "care" but you have to think about scale. The NFL is literally bathing themselves in money every day.

That is a little different from Average Company, that has to legitimately worry about profits.

In fact, the biggest corporations on the planet still stress profits and cost cutting at the risk of a healthy business.

As for your last comment, I agree.

That's just gross. Bears have one of the classic unis in the league and they go and do that.

This one was where he “coerced” a Jane Doe to give him a BJ. :picard
Yeah if something really happened you'd already have jumped in on this thing. If you're coming in this late you're seeing the dollars others are getting and hoping to grab a piece of the pie too.
