I’m not up on any of these players, but we need speed at RB. If the Rams and others can successfully use 205-210 pound RBs, then so can the Cowboys. No need for 235 pound plodding RBs as your main guy. I know Zeke slimmed down a bit in 21 but unfortunately he’s worn out. Too late.
Watching the Rams offense fly all over the field last night made me jealous.
James Cook from Georgia.

Can probably get him in the 4th-5th and we can still use Elliott as a sledgehammer in short yardage/goal line.

4th or 5th on talent or name recognition?

I mean assuming Zeke is still around that's exactly right. You've got the short yardage and goal line guy in Zeke still. What you need is a guy to play with Pollard on the other 80% of the snaps. Preferably someone who can pick up the blitz so that Zeke isn't out there in fucking passing situation catch the ball and doing nothing with it.

I think he was a pretty explosive player for Georgia. But yeah having Dalvin as your older brother doesn't hurt. Still I think he is a pretty good player in his own right. Not a lot of wear on his tires but he always averaged over 6 ypc in college. I'm a little afraid he will get overdrafted though as a result of some big plays against Alabama and the name you mention. Wouldn't surprise me to see him go higher then some backs that most will have ranked higher.

I wouldn't argue with this, there aren't any great 1st round candidates but someone like Trey McBride in the 2nd or Charlie Kolar in the 4th would be very nice. The problem is that Dak seems to have a lot of trust in Schultz, and given how the passing game looked late in the year I'd hate to lose that.

The other thing I'd be concerned about is whether or not they'd actually re-invest that 11-12 million/year contract into the defense beyond just re-signing Gregory or something.

Not a bad idea. He’s a shitty blocker and doesn’t have the speed the new age hybrid TEs have.
Depends on the trade off. Do we use his salary for three schlubs and then go into the draft needing a TE to pair with Jarwin?

I mean if it helps me keep Gregory and say Kearse, I'd make that trade off. But if we can find cap to keep them all I would because we won't be signing shit in free agency. Is there a good LG in free agency? That maybe the one thing we could look at that isn't a very expensive position.

Pollard is way better than Gainwell, the coaches just don't utilize him enough. What the hell is adding an inferior version of Pollard going to do for us?

This seemed like a good idea at the time.

Dump both him and Jarwin, draft another TE. This a big TE draft, right?

Green is the guy with most position flex, so I imagine he is more of our type.

I think Green is my top guy out of what I consider to be the realistic options. I'd take Cross over him because I think he's a better prospect, but as you said Cross is an OT only (maybe even LT only) while Green has played I think every position except center at one time or another at A&M.
