The joke has always been the Chargers are the Cowboys of the AFC. A team that underachieved almost every year despite having a decent amount o talent.

This is a perfect example of why most NFL teams never get it right. They'd rather target familiar names rather than do the legwork to find better options.

There's already 10 years of data out there showing that Garrett is a marginal head coach. And I guess they're going to completely gloss over the fact that the Giants failed to score 20 points in most of their games this year.
