Things are worse since Obama took over. Much much worse. I'm not absolving Bush, but it is definitively worse now. The Iran thing being the worst of it, obviously.
Things are worse, but the main issues are still consequences to the last administrations tactics. Isis' rise to power was facilitated by the war in Iraq.

Personally I think the Iran deal was a positive that might prevent the the rise of another unstable nuclear dictatorship. If North Korea and USSR have taught us anything it's that isolating a country only makes it more unstable, dependence on trade is the greatest nuclear deterrent. That's why we never had a Cold War with China. Pulling sanctions were there own reward.

You said the right in a previous post. That's conservatives.
You're mixing the two concepts. Right wing politics is fascism, Left wing politics is communism. Conservatism in the US is based on preserving the rights guaranteed to the citizens by the constitution.

The Republican party was centrist for a long time, it's becoming right wing.

The Democrats are much closer to communism than the Republicans are to fascism. Also, the Republican party is still centrist, too much so for my taste. The Tea Party is what the Republicans used to be, the Republicans are what the Democrats used to be and the Democrats have fallen off of the left side of oblivion. I mean the Democrats have gone bat shit crazy left under the idiot Obama. Remember, Reagan was considered EXTREME right wing and was the best president we have had in several decades before and after his presidency. We are to a point where we either let the government take full control of everything and make all our decisions for us, or we vote for common sense and put the power back into the people hands and let them make their own decisions.

It is just simple common sense. This country is teetering on falling over the left side of oblivion with a main stream media firmly on the side of the left. Just look at the idiots protesting at the universities right now. The want any offending speech censored while maintaining their right for free speech. They are so damn stupid it is ridiculous.

Oh, I feel ya, man. We are on the brink of socialism right now. We just can't get Obama out of office fast enough.

Well this country is going to hell in a hand basket. We have tried nominating "centrist" Republicans like McCain and Romney and it doesn't work. Die hard conservatives and the religious right stay home and we end up with an idiot like Obama. I say we nominate a true conservative like Ted Cruz and put the onus of staying home on the left leaning mainstream Republicans. It worked with Reagan and I think it will work again. We are still the "too silent" majority in this country. If the left didn't have 95% of the media on their side and too many people in this country who are oblivious to anything they do not hear from the mainstream media then their is no way the left could ever win in this country.

You guys better pray for Rubio to win the nomination. He's the only one with a snowball's chance in hell of beating Hilary.

Reagan was called "extreme right wing" by the Democrats who tried to discredit him. He was a Goldwater Republican, one of the few true conservatives who ever saw the light of day in the R party.

Oh I would vote for Rubio without any problem or any Republican nominee for that matter but seriously think about what you are saying. Any time we have nominated a centrist, and I am not saying Rubio is a complete centrist, people stay home who have high moral convictions and we end up with the leftist winning. I say put the onus on the mainstream Republicans to vote for the true conservative. It worked for Reagan it it will still work if we do it. Do not let the left leaning media make your decisions. Think for yourself and vote for conservatism which has worked ANY TIME it has been tried. Bush 43 was not a true conservative and the idiots in charge of congress are not either although to be fair, Ryan needs a little time to prove he is not a weak speaker like Boenher.

Nice revision of history the Republicans were against Reagan too. Please go back and study Reagan. I will not make it easy for you by posting links for you. Hint, do not just look at the liberal media sources for accurate history. You have to look at EVERYTHING and then you can find the truth.

For your reading pleasure.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. Trump gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his office for a job. He then took $20 out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.

Hillary was very impressed, so when they came to another homeless person, she decided to help. She walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. She then reached into Trump’s pocket and got out $20. She kept $15 for her administrative fees and gave the homeless person $5.00.

That is the difference between a Republican and a Democrat!

I believe this joke is spot on for the differences between the left and right. I am not a Democrat or Republican because the Republicans are basically like the Democrats of 20 years ago which I had a problem with then. I am a conservative.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Ronald Reagan broke out on the national stage campaigning for Barry Goldwater. He became a force in American politics and went from ex-actor/ex-governor to legit candidate because of the "time for choosing" speech, one of the greatest political speeches of all time, given in that campaign. You are just ignorant of political terminology.

"Right Wing" properly refers to people with a political ideology like Donald Trump, Pat Buchanan, Joe McCarthy and George Wallace, people who believe in a large authoritarian government. Reagan believed in individual rights and individual freedoms, that's something Republicans today hate with a passion. They want more government spying, more government power over US citizens.

A real right winger, Hermann Goring said "The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

Sounds suspiciously like the tactics currently favored by the Republican Party to excuse things like the NSA spying on US citizens. That's not the kind of "conservatism" Ronald Reagan would have supported.

I'll leave this with you:

Illiberal and conservative are terms that are better suited toward people's and political leaders leanings regarding economic issues. It is different than right wing and left wing labels.

Well you obviously did not do your research on Reagan. You are right on some accords but dead wrong on others. You are only looking at the liberal side of history. Please investigate all of it so you will know the truth. I have no desire to embarrass you on a forum. Please do your research. Hint, it may take you weeks to reply and mot minutes if you actually research the ACTUAL history. That is how much liberals have corrupted history but it can still be found if you look for it.

I'd put money on that I've read more about Reagan than you have. You want to paint Reagan as a person who was politically in tune with Donald Trump or any of these clowns in the GOP, sure, whatever. Don't tell me that calling bullshit on that is because of some lack of research on my part.
