According to ESPN's Ed Werder, the NFL has started to inform players who have satisfied the terms of their current suspensions under the league's new proposed drug policy that they should be reinstated by Sunday, a sign that the new policy will surely be in place by then. This means that Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick and Denver Broncos receiver Wes Welker, who were serving four-game suspensions for positive amphetamine tests, will have their suspensions cut in half.

Scandrick and Welker will have their suspensions reduced because under the new policy, first-time positive tests for amphetamines in the offseason will no longer result in a suspension, while in-season positive tests will. Also, the threshold for a positive marijuana test will be raised from 15 to 35 nanograms per millimeter. Some players had complained that under the previous baseline, any contact with marijuana could trip a positive test.

FWIW, Welker wasn't high on molly and handing out $100 bills at the Kentucky Derby.

First of all he looks like a really fun dude. Second of all, he doesn't look anything like a professional athlete. I mean how is that guy a professional WR.

Wes is one cool cat and one fun guy to be around.

He no doubt does not look like an athlete. I had a picture of him one time that made me think more less of a C team DB on a really bad high school team.

After years of being in the NFL.

You should see what the dude looked like while he was in college. Seriously there was a side shot of him where his chest was the same as his stomach. Completely zero pecs or chest. It was sad looking. At the time he was the all-time NCAA kick return for scores or somesuch.

So the same poster that thinks looking at porn could make you gay also happens to have shirtless photos of Welker on hand?

In fairness, I feverishly googled it rather than having it on hand.

It's not gay if he played for TTU.

You may believe that MO is the man, but I've got credible sources who tell me that the man will not be holding Scandrick down.

To be fair if you do something to get yourself suspended I think you should have to earn your playing time again. Still Scandrick is a very good corner and I expect to see him with starters snaps before long.
