Yes he would and I had some respect for him because of that. He may not have had the natural skills but he played full tilt.

Heath is like Scott but not Johnson. Heath isn't a natural and is slow to react but he will stick his head in the mix.

Honestly, I don't care if they cut him. The braintrust was irresponsible to try to get a competition rolling with one career backup against another.
In fact, the way they addressed the DL over this offseason was just deplorable and inexcusable if you are trying to field a competitive team.
But I honestly believe they think this would have worked and they will spin the injury excuse dial again.
