7.5 ypc and 2036 yards on a shitty team. You don't think he helped to create those yards on his own?
Looking at his highlights no.

He had a lot of running room and was the master of the long run, he is dynamite open field guy but don't know if that translates.

The problem I have with Coleman is that he runs very upright and isn't know for breaking tackles or getting a lot of yards after contact.

I want a guy who can make his own yards from time to time and I don't know if he can.
Bad balance and he lacks power to finish runs. Has deep speed, but is more apt to run up the back of a blocker than find the hole and break it.

The comparisons to Murray are way way off.

He's basically a Darren McFadden starter kit.

Umm ever think that's because a highlight reel is going to feature his long runs?

Jesus even in the highlight video's he breaks a shit ton of tackles. What I love about him is he is sneaky fast. Guys can't seem to square him up to get a good hit on him which tells me he could have more longevity in this league.

He ran a lot out of a full spread. Watch his highlights you get impressed. Watch a whole game you see he had a bunch of minimal gains, then he would bust a 60 yard TD which skewed his production.

Felix Jones got drafted in the first round with a similar type of style. Been there, done that.

I want nothing to do with this kid.

If Garrett values the "dirty yards" like he says, this guy ain't the best back for that.

Booze hates everyone. I see no reason to discuss stuff like this with him. They are all shit to him.
Not true.

I like Ajayi. I like Yeldon to a lesser degree. I am even warming up to Duke Johnson. The Northern Iowa kid is okay.

I just think Coleman is massively overrated.

You look at other guys highlights and see them sifting through trash at line or outright running through guys, with Coleman its all running through gaping holes and the only tackles he breaks are secondary guys around his legs.

Jones is good comparison.

I would agree, but Abdullah's ball security and the fact he can't pass protect is a deal breaker. He's a specialist to me.
Yeah that's why I don't look at him until the 4th but he is at least a physical runner and I think he could become a plus pass protector.

At what point does La'el Collins become acceptable? I love his skills.
If our targets are gone, I'd take him in the second and forget about RT for the next 10 years.

If he's there in the 3rd, I'd practically break my legs running the card up there.

So what is the real deal with this RB class? Leading up to the draft I heard all about how deep the RBs class is but now that the draft is upon us it doesn't sound to me like any of them outside of the two that have already been drafted are really that good. Well, according to much of this board anyway.

I really liked Ajayi above all the rest purely from reading draft profiles but it sounds like that knee is going to be an issue and knock him way down in the draft. Is it just that most of these guys are considered good pieces to a backfield rather than good 3 down-type RBs?

Yup, that is exactly what I see - Darren McFadden lite.

He's not as naturally gifted as McFadden, but their running styles are similar and they share a lot of the same strengths and weaknesses.

What do you thin of Duke Johnson? Nothing about him jumps out at you, but that's not a bad thing necessarily. I like my RB's to be dependable and consistent, and I think he's got that.

He's got enough acceleration and speed to get big yards, but he's got solid strength as well. He's good between the tackles and has very good vision, as evidenced by the significant amount of cutback runs against the grain that he turns into big gains.

After Ayaji, this is who I would take because there's no gimmicks with him. He's just your standard, dependable back who can work very well behind this line.

Jameis Winston already signed his contract.

I love the way they slot draft picks now.
