Report: Green Bay to play at Seattle in 2014 NFL regular season opener

We’ve known since season’s end that the Packers would get their first rematch with the Seahawks in Seattle since the “Fail Mary” game of 2012.
Now, we reportedly know when the clubs will meet.
According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers will travel to Seattle for the 2014 NFL regular-season opener on Thursday, September 4.
The game will be televised on NBC.
The matchup will be a major test for clubs right off the bat. The Packers have the task of solving one of the NFL’s most ferocious defenses. The defending-champion Seahawks, meanwhile, have to deal with a Packers club with a strong offense. And, as Packers fans surely would be happy to remind you, Green Bay had Seattle just about beaten in the regular season meeting two years ago, even after quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sacked eight times.
It’s about time these clubs met again in a game of consequence, and why not with the eyes of the league upon them in Week One?
