And nary a high draft pick, at all, in their secondary.Panthers winning in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Impressive to say the least.
If having Reid and McCarthy is any sort of problem, then the only truly good coach in the NFL is Belichick. It's one of the worst scenarios? Come on. If you have one of those guys you are stupid to fire them.Having someone like McCarthy, Reid and is like Schottenheimer. It's one of the worse scenario's where they are good enough you almost have to keep them around thinking they will break through eventually but you mainly just waste multiple years.
I'm just glad they found a way to not squander the SB vs. Pitt. But I'm surprised after winning that with a young Rodgers they've eff'd up so much the last 5 years.
In all fairness, they don't have a championship defense and Rodgers primary weapons like Nelson was injured all year. And last year they were just a play away from the SB. I think they will be stuck with McCarthy for awhile, but at least he's had more success than the Schottenheimers and Reid's.
I like the Panthers deal now where they find a kid to give the ball to. I think that is outstanding for the game.
But C-rock says it's silly to avoid drafting DBs high. And nary a high draft pick, at all, in their secondary.
And perhaps one of the least frightening WR corps in the NFL.
But hey, this is a passing league. And stuff.
That's awesome.
