None of these people know hockey apparently. It definitely sucks to lose out on a goal that way, but it's not exactly uncommon and it's 100% the correct call. The indignation over it is silly. All this consternation over the referee being American conveniently ignores the fact that the clearly Russian supervisor of officials concurs with the call.

It sucks if you are rooting for Russia because it's like bad luck striking at the worst possible time but it is not the least bit controversial.

Russia has been eliminated from Hockey competition.

That's awesome. First the Ukraine riots and now this. Putin is having a bad week.

Yup...USA didn't create much of anything in this one.

It was the Super Bowl all over again. Top D v the top O and the D dominates.
