10 reasons the Cowboys will be a dumpster fire this season

EAGLES NFL PHILADELPHIA COWBOYS DUMPSTER FIRE
BY JIMMY KEMPSKI
PhillyVoice Staff
This week we're taking a look at each of the Eagles' divisional enemies, in detail. Earlier in the week, we blasted the Redskins, and then busted on the Giants. Today's target will be the Dallas Cowboys. To note, we will not be talking about the positives of any of the Eagles' NFC East rivals, because, well, that's no fun. This will be 100 percent vitriolic. Also to note, this will be published in the Eagles Almanac, which you can pre-order here.

Disclaimer: OK, so the Cowboys aren't going to be a "dumpster fire" this season unless Tony Romo gets hurt, but they are far from the juggernaut many are making them out to be. Let's get to it...

1) The Cowboys' offensive line is massively overrated

This is his very first point, and there was a guy on Twitter that destroyed him:

1) The Cowboys' offensive line is massively overrated

Below are the tweets from Joey Ickes about that point:

It's because the retard judges pass protection purely on sack numbers. While loosely related, sacks are actually a really poor indicator of pass protection.

I'll give you a perfect example of this. The Colts offensive line last year. Anyone that watched them could tell you they were a pathetic group. Their pass protection was some of the worst I saw all year. Andrew Luck was sacked a total of 27 times. By this retards logic the Colts offensive line was better at pass protection then ours. It couldn't be further from the truth. Andrew Luck is just really good at getting the ball off quickly in the face of pressure. This isn't really Romo's strength. What Romo does is he either curls up in a ball and takes the sack or he will try to evade it and by more time to throw the ball and make a big play. When he evades the pass rush we have the big highlight plays usually. When he tries and fails, it's an extra sack.

I feel like the article is actually the writer making fun of his own retarded logic with the 1st grade hand writing and stick figures.

Cowboys PFF ranking #1

#2 run blocking
#4 pass blocking
#2 penalties
No duds starting

Eagles PFF ranking #2
#1 run blocking
#10 pass blocking, because pass blocking is important and stuff
#27 penalties
Todd Herremans == dud in pass blocking

And as far as taking 7.07% sacks...

other numbers speak volumes about the Cowboys pass attack:

Yards per pass attempt: 8.0 == #1
Completion %: 68.82% == #2
Yards per completion: 11.6 == #5
Passing TD/game: 2.3 == #2 (three way tie)
Team Passer Rating: 112.3 -- #1

and of course:

Third Down Conversion %: 47.09% == #2
