Yeah, I feel for the Raiders fans. So many bad years and you now finally have a great season and make the playoffs and your only hope gets hurt.

Not particularly likely. Coach's discretion on this one I'd say.
And the coaches (Garrett) even on a give up play decide to actually risk injury to their star RB instead of just kneeling the ball. Yet another example of how Garrett makes stupid coaching decisions.

He's been a much better QB than I thought he'd be. I thought he'd be a colossal bust.
Yeah, same here. I didn't think he would amount to anything.

That is the dumb part. Just knee it if that's what you want to do. Run up the gut was a waste of everyone's time.
And, an unnecessary injury risk.
