I actually thought less of Garrett after watching All or Nothing.
I thought he might be a little different behind the scenes, but nope, just as robotic. Some of his interpersonal interactions came across as just plain awkward, including his competitions with Dak.
Most of his messages to the team were essentially t-shirt sayings.
During the 3 game ass-raping streak he kept repeating, "I refuse to allow this to define our season." Except for all his blustering about that, it didn't get better I think until Lee and Smith returned.
I disagree on the robot thing. I don't think he comes across that way behind the scenes at all. The general consensus of everyone I've heard talk about the series is kind of the same as mine. Much better than the impression he gives publicly. Sometimes people see what they want to see. He gets effort out of his team, that can't be denied. The players do like and respect him. But he lets them down with his schemes and adjustments. He got badly exposed this last year when he had injuries.
Hell Philly lost their left tackle, starting quarterback, their starting OLB, their kicker, two 3rd down running backs and still won the Super Bowl. That just burns me. I get that Tyron Smith, Elliott and Sean Lee are probably the three best players on the team but good lord. We had a 3rd round tackle, former Pro Bowl back, and a damn good backup in Hitchens to replace them. It should have been enough. Hell, if Garrett had just given Green some help we could have still been competitive and not ruined our QB for the best part of 2 months.
Now you have me ranting...fuck Garrett...
