No kidding, he was going to the ground in the process of the catch and didn't survive the ground. The rule is a joke.If they don't overrule, the NFL is officially fixed.

Once the plane is broken, it doesn't matter what happens after that. Unless he's still establishing the catch. Which he clearly had already done, since he had taken three steps.
