Hmmmm....maybe you guys are right. I thought he was 28. Which is is. For 3 more weeks...

He isn't necessarily old but 9 NFL seasons is a lot of pounding on his body.

Going on 9, but you're right.

I like Thomas, but if I am giving up 2 premium picks for a defensive player, he better be a disruptive DL.

There are viable options in FA too with Boston and Vaccaro...both of whom may be interested in a 1 year prove it deal. Same with Hankins....I know he is not "quick twitch", but stick his fat ass in the middle and watch the D improve by actually having a 1T DT on the roster.

Exactly. The most should be a 3rd in 2018 and a 5th in 2019, and that’s really pushing it.
No Pat McQuistan = No Super Bowl. It's that simple.

I’d rather use the same ammo to trade up in the draft and take my pick of elite LBs or DL.

No way in hell I'd give up more than a 4th for Thomas. I'm not paying premium compensation for an aging player with a lot of miles, a high salary, and one year left on his current deal. How many elite years does he have left? I'm not paying compensation as if he's still 24.

    Agreed.

No way I'm giving up picks in the first 3 rounds for this guy.
