Mine completely crapped the bed a few hours ago. Thankfully I had another one laying around unused. Lost all my bookmarks, pictures, documents, passwords everything Sooo, I'm starting from scratch for the first time in years and it's a royal PITA. I've had it for awhile though so I probably should have been prepared for it, especially since I used to work on the damn things and know they don't last forever.

You don’t backup your data?

I still have most of my stuff on DVDs and a flash drive, I'll just leave them there. I learned my lesson years ago when I had one die, I think it was 2001. It's just a PITA.

Anyway, this new/old one is up and running now. I had to replace my trackball with a conventional mouse because it died as well. It was old though, I've had it around fifteen years. It will just be a task to get used to using a regular mouse but at least it's not an old one with the ball, it's an optical one.

Hey, I didn't have to shell out for a new one so I'm content.

:lol

Now that is something I haven't heard in a while.
:lol Hey, I was used to the dang thing. Getting used to using a conventional mouse has been interesting after using it that thing for so long. I had another trackball but that's old too and uses a PS2 connector, which this PC doesn't have.

I still have the same mouse pad I've had for fifteen years too. :)

Got me one of them standing desks at work. Pretty nifty. I don’t feel like a sloth at the end of the day, sitting for 10 hours straight.
