    I don't think I've seen Kyle attack anyone. But this Father apparently doesn't have a problem with kids being "handled" as long as the message agrees with his. I feel bad for anyone that lost kids there, but the message the kids he supports are pushing is one I'll fight tooth and nail.

    But yet, nothing is being done, at a federal level anyway, to protect kids in school.

    Same as always, weather the storm and wait until people forget....until the next shooting.

    Florida actually tried to do something and was immediately sued by the NRA.

    I think if all my suggestions were adopted, school shootings would be practically non existent.

    And none of my suggestions were raising the age either.

    I guess you missed where I posted there is a bill in Congress that will set in place some regulations to help secure our schools and kids.

    The bill permits grants to fund evidence-based programs and practices to:

    • Train students, school personnel, and local law enforcement to identify warning signs and intervene to stop school violence before it happens;
    • Improve school security infrastructure to deter and respond to threats of school violence, including the development and implementation of anonymous reporting systems for threats of school violence;
    • Develop and operate school threat assessment and crisis intervention teams; and
    • Facilitate coordination between schools and local law enforcement.
    • The bill would authorize $75 million for FY 2018, and $100 million annually for the next ten years, which may be partially offset from a DOJ research program called the Comprehensive School Safety Initiative.

    The students who are the likely ones to shoot up schools are those who no one wants to interact with. Or the "weird" kids. The only people who can do something about it are the teachers/faculty. This will create more work for them which no teacher wants to do due to their pay.
