I can't seem to figure this guy out. He isn't that big. He isn't that fast. And he isn't a great route runner. But man when I watched him play he was torching guys repeatedly deep. I could believe the separation that he was able to get on deep balls. So I can't figure out if it is just the scheme or if he has really deceptive speed that allows him to torch guys.
His route tree was supposedly pretty crude. That tells me he probably is good in physically using his body. I am not just sure about his speed. But it is clear he has long arms and great body control.
He also had a semi-decent QB in Mason Rudolph, who has had time to develop chemistry with, so there is that too.
