As investment???
Wouldn't that mean planning to sell at a profit in the future??
Of course. but you can still only sell them to someone having gone through the proper ATF format. As a for instance with these triggers, prior to 86 when you could by them for a$100 or less, ppl figured the law was coming and bought them in droves. Those that did have and are making a mint selling them now even with all the loopholes needed to be able to purchase them legally. This captain's guns will do nothing but go up in value.

I feel like I said specifically that I wasn't saying he was set up.

Just creepy is all, given the lack of other motive or history; it's like he just became a killer out of thin air.
Yeah usually their appears to at least be some sort of motive. Guy is with ISIS, Kid is picked on at school, social outcast or some other extremist type explanation.

There just doesn't seem to be a motivation here. Just one of those people who seemed normal on the outside but must have had legit sociopathic tendencies underneath.

the guy sounds like a degenerate gambler. wouldn't surprise me if they said he was hundreds of thousands in debt. still, most people just off themselves to escape financial ruin; they don't commit mass murder.

Yeah, I know he may have had a bone to pick with the casinos. Maybe in his mind he would destroy Las Vegas and their casinos by committing a mass shooting.

He may have been obsessed with his guns especially the automatic ones and fulfilled fantasy that had knawed at him for a while. What would it be like to wipe out a crowd with a machine gun.

brother: "I had no idea he had an interest in guns."
Australian in-law: "He showed me his huge gun room."

Especially because the Brother said he helped him move to that house last year or something and saw no guns.

the guy wasn't registered to vote in Nevada or Florida, so i doubt this was a political statement. and why does your fug girlfriend need you to wire her $100,000?

FWIW, there's no real "wait for it" moment. Just the cabbie picks up a bunch of people fleeing from the concert, and you hear them freaking out.

Report out that says this guy possibly used Bump Stocks, as they found two in his room, and that could have turned semi automatic weapons into firing at automatic rates.

Don't know much about them but it seems like Bump Stocks should maybe be illegal.

Yeah it's all very odd.

I guess the guy was a high roller at the casinos as well. He had laid multiple 6 figure bets it sounds like. Just all very odd to me.

Not sure what the answers are for something like this, but this cartoon says a lot.

I'm sure your Captain friend will be very careful who he sells an automatic weapon to, but somehow I feel uncomfortable with the idea of basically any schmoe who gets his hand on one being able to resell them for profit.

Yeah but that’s not how it is.
