If this is true it's encouraging to see how we had the QB's ranked with Cook at the bottom of the 2nd and Prescott in the 4th. If Lynch really was 12th on our board we should've just given up the 3rd to get him, we'll see how that turns out in Denver.

As for the 2nd round, no clue why we wouldn't take Jack who was just 1 spot behind Smith but is available to play this season. Further, if we were willing to take Ogbah at 34 why in the heck wouldn't we just take Reed or Robinson since he was rated higher and we took a DT in the 3rd anyway?

Very odd.

We supposedly would've taken Floyd at 6 if we traded down with Baltimore and Elliott/Ramsey went 4/5, so this would confirm that, and that is a huge bullet that we dodged.

All in all, some of these rankings are pretty curious but I can't see anything sticks out as blatantly ridiculous except for Sean Davis in the 5th and William Jackson in the 3rd.

We strayed from the board in the later rounds if this is accurate.

Really wish we would've taken Blair or Jefferson over dunce Prescott.
I don't care for Driskel and I would feel better with him.

The QB grades amaze me. If Connor Cook was thought of that highly, why not go get him?

They tried in the 4th, there wasn't much separation between him and Collins and I'm guessing they didn't want to use their 2nd and 3rd round picks on guys who likely don't play in 2016.

Yeah I was surprised they had Jack and Smith ranked so close and took the bigger risk.

It will be interesting to see how this works out.

I would've been good with A'Shawn Robinson or Reed in the 2nd. But of course now we can boast we got two top 5 picks. But I'm glad we did go Zeke in the first and stuck to our board rather than go with Ramsey.

Also if we stuck to the board, in the 3rd if we hadn't gone with Collins our next pick would've been Darian Thompson.

I'd actually prefer Zeke, Robinson and Thompson over Zeke, Jaylon, Maliek.

That's the way the risk/reward gene seems to work in the Jones family.

I don't know that they think they took the bigger risk. Jack can play now but lomg term they feel like they know what that knee will do and it's get worse.

With Jaylon they know the kmee is right once the nerve fires again.

Interesting that they took Maliek Collins at 67 over a player they had rated higher in Kendall Fuller.

Interesting... I think they knew they needed immediate front seven help when they missed out on Ogbah and Dodd and took Smith.

By the time they drafted in the 3rd, every one of their 2nd-tier DL talents was off the board so they went Collins by necessity.

Another interesting question is why pass on Brown in favor of Tapper? I'm glad it shook out the way it did, but I can only guess they got word other teams were down on Brown? Or maybe they knew about Lawrence and Gregory's pending suspensions?

Has anyone checked what the Cowboys draft would have looked like sticking rigorously to the board?

Probably didn't want to take on another injury risk after drafting Smith. He had an ACL last year.
The board is odd in that I'm not sure it really takes into account injuries or off the field concerns at all. It's why Jaylon Smith is still up at 5 when in reality we would have passed him in the second round if a D-lineman were still there. So I wonder if some of the guys we "passed" on had flags such as injuries or off the field stuff that you just can't see on this board.
