Yeah Franklin messed with his footwork from his freshman year on. They did some screwy offensive stuff under Franklin that just got his head kind of bashed in taking hits. I watched Hackenberg with Gruden and it was pretty clear that Franklin was asking him to change footwork and mechanics that were not comfortable for Hackenberg. I honestly wish we could have seen him under O'Brien his entire career. But even still Hackenberg wasn't very accurate throwing the ball as a freshman.
