What about butt plugs? Asking for a friend.
What about butt plugs? Asking for a friend.
Think what you want, but our culture is repressed. People get bent out of shape when women breast feed in public. The Texas sex toy thing Ed was talking about is another instance. That type of stuff happens all over the place in this country. If only we were more like the highly refined and civilized Europeans...
I heard those and anal bleaching are ok.What about butt plugs? Asking for a friend.
No question about it. American's are very opposed to nudity which kind of hits at the core of why people don't want transgendered people in the wrong bathroom. They don't want their daughter being exposed potentially to a penis and they don't want their son to be exposed to boobs or a vagina. So we shelter them by only allowing them to go in the bathroom with the people who share the same body part that they already have. It's the same reason we don't want nudity on cable television and a strip club near a school.Think what you want, but our culture is repressed. We talk about freedom, but only if it doesn't offend those in Power.
This one is odd to me. What is the source of the outrage? It is the most natural thing in the world and in my experience almost all women are relatively discreet/modest about it (ie, they aren't sitting there completely shirtless and most use the baby's blanket to partly shield what is going on). The "What about the children???!!!" argument doesn't apply here because it is very easily explainable to children and not something that should be considered shameful or indecent. It is one of those situations where people who are opposed to it are just way too uptight, IMO. I guess we are getting off the original topic with this stuff but whatever.Think what you want, but our culture is repressed. People get bent out of shape when women breast feed in public. This is where I tend to side (at least in principal) with the more prudish people. I've always figured that in any circumstance where fluid is leaving your body (pooping, bleeding, crying) you're expected to excuse yourself. Any form of leakage is supposed to take place in private. This one is odd to me. What is the source of the outrage? Call me crazy, but I see a very clear line between urinating/defecating and breastfeeding. This is where I tend to side (at least in principal) with the more prudish people. I don't know man, aren't we the porn capital of the universe? Sexually repressed? It's not working because it seems that all of the activity in the world is going on in this country. We don't like our gays here but what else? Thai dildo thing seems pretty much minimal. Did anything ever cum of it?Think what you want, but our culture is repressed. I have never seen it personally but there are lots of documented cases of people criticizing and shaming women for it.I don't get the breastfeeding thing at all. I see lots of outrage for breastfeeding rights but in 24 years and 6 kids being breastfed I've never once experienced any negative backlash about breastfeeding in public.
My wife never was into showing her tits in public but we've had plenty of friends that do. It's no big deal either way, IMO. I just don't know where anyone has been repressed because of this. Is this even a real thing?
Why a poll?
Hey pdom. Here's the perfect spot for one of your polls.
Ah, didn't know that. I've never personally experienced that or racism in a couple of decades of boning a Mexican, breastfeeding mom.I have never seen it personally but there are lots of documented cases of people criticizing and shaming women for it.
I fully support a hot mom breastfeeding in public. Hell I don't care what a hot women is doing with her breasts, I'm all for them being exposed.Ah, didn't know that. I've never personally experienced that or racism in a couple of decades of boning a Mexican, breastfeeding mom.
I've also mentioned bleeding and crying. Coughing up mucus is another example. If you've ever been in a room with someone who refuses to excuse themselves while hocking up mucus, it can be pretty obnoxious.Call me crazy, but I see a very clear line between urinating/defecating and breastfeeding.

But isn't this a system where the Will of the majority is supposed to be what makes this country uniquely different from the rest of the world? Differing views are allowed but the majority still rules so don't try to turn this into a minority view is superior and should be the ruling factor because as much as minority views are accepted still they are not the final say. This one is odd to me. Over sexuality has fallen into the same trap that sexual stigmatization was built on, that a person's identity is tied to their sexual preferences and libido.I've tried to educate my kids as much as I can on sexuality, the human body and such. Breastfeeding is no big deal when you have families like mine and have lots of friends with large families.
Back to sexuality...this society is extremely oversexualized. To the extreme. Almost every input through media gives us sexual cues. So I'd rather get ahead of the curve and educate my kids on how awesome sex is when in the right context. My kids are generally more comfortable and knowledgable about sex than most of their peers. Those around them just know the dirty words and such which is shallow.

It's still not okay to have the kind of sex you want or however much you want, you still have to conform to how much society still thinks you ought to be having.
