The size cut off thing is real. Look at WR and CB. Unless you prove it, almost by accident, forget it.
Lucky Whitehead, Cole Beasley and Scandrick say otherwise. We definitely prefer size but our team also makes exceptions.

Like it said. UDFAs and fifth round draft picks. Prove it. Sink or swim short little men. Nevermind you can play football, we go by measurements. Hardly by design. Straight out of the Al Davis book of personnel.

Yeah but we are talking about free agents and not draft picks.

Wait, so Beasley and Scandrick are relevant when talking about free agents?

It is clear we have cutoffs in all aspects of personnel decisions. They get lax as the stakes get lower. Free agents, trades and draft picks then graduating on down within the draft process.

Try moving the goalposts some more.

You're the one moving the goal posts. How are the risks higher with a free agent on a cheapo contract? We signed guys like Scandrick and Cole Beasley to bigger contracts then a free agent may get at this point.

I was talking about who and what we devote resources to.

Those that meet the thresholds get free agent contracts. The high draft picks.

The rest have to make it on their own and bust the stereotype.

And that was before we signed back Wilber to keep the band back together.

That all but eliminates any more activity. It is what we do.

It is like that little bit of fun we have in the draft.

You know the feeling, you prepare lists after the first two rounds. You get all excited.

Then all you get in the fourth is shit like Matt Johnson. Or in the seventh, you think, oh, this guy, oh wait, we just traded a future sixth for Geoff fucking Swaim.

Try again little camper.
Or you get Randy Gregory and L Collins and realize how wrong you were about Byron Jones.

It's bitching just to bitch.

Huh? None of those players were picked after round two.

It still does not change the fact something will be found to bitch about.

And the goal post will be moved accordingly.
It also shows you cannot stick to the topic of my bitching and just assume it is blanket.

Which is partially true. :unsure

I am not under the illusion that Matt Moore would have been the answer at backup QB, but if Dallas goes into the 2016 season with Tony Romo, Kellen Moore, & some rookie drafted at #67 or later then they absolutely, positively deserve the 5-11/6-10 type of record they are going to have when Romo goes down early in the season again.

Who is even left as a viable, legit backup in free agency? RGIII? At one point I assumed he was a lock to be a Cowboy but it seems like they aren't going that direction. Manziel? Complete disaster as a person and has no business in the NFL. Fitzpatrick? Too expensive for the Cowboys I'm sure since he seems to fancy himself a starter.

Truly baffling that the undisputed most important position on the field is being treated like it was a backup guard or something. Particularly when the starting QB is pretty much at a 'when, not if' stage of his career when it comes to injury expectation. But it's not a damn debate, guys. Really shocking that this franchise has had no measure if sustained success for 20 years now. #sarcasm

Unless of course we are drafting one at 4 and then it all makes sense.

Of course, but do you honestly believe that is going to happen?
I'd say it is definitely possible. I'd say highly likely if Wentz is there at 4.

I don't look at any other player in this draft and honestly believe they are the likely pick at 4.

So Philly trades with Miami FL leap ahead of the giants and get Zeke, but Miami needs a RB, Cle takes Wentz, The JJ doesn't like Goff so he trades pick 4 to Miami for their 1st, 2nd and 4th, plus next year's 1st and they pick Zeke...
