Eh, I'm ok with Moore as a number 2. He knows the offense really well and can throw with accuracy and timing. His arm sucks balls but I'm sure it's a minimal investment and a guy who can help Dak with the intricate parts to the offense.

He is going to take snaps away from Romo.

I bet Hostile loves this move and wants Moore to be our head coach one day.

Moore is a knowledable player and should be a productive resource above his obvious back up duties. He would make a better coach than a player.

Smart player but one of the weakest arms I've ever witnessed in an NFL QB. So, *shrug*

I'm on board with him as a QB coach when he retires though.

Even weaker than Brad Johnson's arm? That's a feat.

The short stuff isn't a problem for him. Anything over 20 yards is problematic because defenders are quick enough to close the gap and get in position for a pick. With a solid running game and 8 to 10 yard completions he is very serviceable.

Even weaker than Danny Wuerffel? Now that guy had a sally arm.
Pretty close. Wuerffel was the same way, smart and knew the offense, but couldn't play.

The other issue is that he is nothing like Prescott. Ideally you want the backup to be able to do some of the same things so an injury does not completely change what you spent the entire offseason installing.

I don't think a weak arm backup is good at all. Isn't that just going to bring the defense closer?
