Are you serious? :lol

Eli going in to that game had played 57 games as a pro.

Romo had 26, less than half.

Romo was a young, inexperienced QB at that time. The point remains.
So the only viable experience for a QB is game starts, and even though Eli had been in the league a year later he was more experienced? Then we'd better keep Dak under center, since apparently even if we sat him until 2020 he'd still be too young and inexperienced.

A little, but you were reaching when you called Romo young and inexperienced. The average career length of a player 3.3 years. Romo had 5. It's ridiculous to act like 3 years as a backup was meaningless, especially since one of the big arguments, early on, for Tony taking back over was that Dak could benefit from some time as an understudy.

Now speaking of real game experience. How polished can we expect an old guy hasn't taken a regular season snap since last Thanksgiving, who has had two major injuries, and had whose play has always been limited by his back to be if his number was called?

After all we lost 3 games in the perfect year 2014 do to a combination of Romo's bad back, and his rust. Who's to say he won't look like the Romo who tossed 3 picks to a mediocre 49ers team to start the season? Is he more healthy now than he was back in September of 2014?
