[h=1]Seahawks have biggest division lead, easiest remaining schedule[/h] Posted by Michael David Smith on November 22, 2016, 5:23 PM EST

If ever a team can be a lock to win its division with six games left, that team is this year’s Seahawks.

Seattle has a three-game lead over Arizona in the NFC West, the biggest lead for any team in the NFL. (The Patriots and Cowboys have two-game leads, the Texans, Raiders and Falcons have one-game leads and there are ties atop the AFC North and NFC North.)

And Seattle has an extremely easy schedule the rest of the way: The combined record of the Seahawks’ six remaining opponents is 22-37-1, the easiest for any team in the NFL. With games remaining against the Buccaneers, Panthers, Packers, Rams, Cardinals and 49ers, the Seahawks don’t play a single remaining game against a team that currently has a winning record.

Add it all up, and there really isn’t any question about whether the Seahawks will win the NFC West. The big remaining question is whether they can catch the Cowboys and earn home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

Goddamn Bills, Patriots and Eagles. Have to hope the Packers beat the Seahawks for a 12-3-1 record, giving us a 2-loss cushion.
