Turn it on and it's already 31-3 Chiefs. Welp, back to spanking it.

The Lions are so awful. This is the second time a team has given up with Jim Caldwell at the helm.

ICYMI: In case you have him on your fantasy team, Carlos Hyde is also inactive.

Week 8 inactives watch

Tom Carpenter, Fantasy and Insider

Welcome to Week 8 of the 2015 NFL season. We will be posting live updates and analysis here as NFL teams release their Sunday inactive lists. All cited player rankings come from our weekly rankings, which are updated to exclude players from the Thursday night game.

Refresh often for the latest information.

Updates/analysis (most recent first)

James Starks (11:19 a.m. ET): Although teammate Davante Adams is expected to return from his ankle injury tonight, EPSN NFL Insider Sal Paolantonio reports that RB James Starks (hip, questionable) is "real iffy" and that the Green Bay Packers aren't counting much on him for the game. That means Eddie Lacy will carry the load against the tough Denver Broncos' defense.

Antonio Gates (8:46 a.m. ET): NFL Networks' Ian Rapoport tweeted that TE Antonio Gates (knee, questionable) "will test his knee pregame. Despite not practicing last 2 weeks, source says he has a chance" to play. Fortunately, the west coast San Diego Chargers play at the Baltimore Ravens, so we will have official word before early lineups need to be set.

Josh McCown (8:40 a.m. ET): Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that QB Josh McCown (right shoulder, questionable) will play for the Cleveland Browns. Coach Mike Pettine suggested earlier this week that he was prepared to play both McCown and Johnny Manziel, so there is at least some risk that McCown may not make it through the game.

Eric Decker (8:36 a.m. ET): According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefer, WR Eric Decker (knee, questionable) will play for the New York Jets. It's safe to plug him into your Week 8 lineups in a plus-matchup against the Raiders.

Dez Bryant (8:30 a.m. ET): Per ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, WR Dez Bryant (foot, questionable) is expected to play for the Dallas Cowboys. However, when it comes to Bryant's workload, Schefter added that the "Cowboys would like to monitor his snaps, Bryant has other ideas." He has a brutally tough matchup against the Seahawks, and whether you use him in fantasy lineups should depend on what other options you have available.

John Brown (8:25 a.m. ET): ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter tweeted that WR John Brown (hamstring, questionable) is "likely to play vs Browns, but team wants to test him pregame bc still not convinced." The good news is that the Arizona Cardinals play in the early set of games, so we will get official word later this morning.

Vincent Jackson (8:20 a.m. ET): ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports that WR Vincent Jackson (knee, doubtful) and TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder, doubtful) will not play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This isn't a surprise, though each were able to practice some this week. Look for Mike Evans to be a massive target hog and for Donteea Dye to start in place of Jackson.

Matthew Stafford (8:10 a.m. ET): As expected, QB Matthew Stafford (quadriceps, probable) and Brandon Pettigrew (elbow, probable) are active for the Detroit Lions. However, cornerback Rashean Mathis, who reportedly has been ill this week, has been scratched. It will be interesting to see how Stafford, Pettigrew and the rest of the Lions' offense fare in London during their first game under new offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter.

Official Sunday inactives should begin coming in at approximately 11:30 a.m. ET for the early set of games, 2:30 p.m. ET for the later set and 7:00 p.m. for the Sunday night contest.
