Timothy Olyphant should have been the guy, but maybe they were afraid too many people would still see him as Raylen Givens.
Feh.According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan will debut as Negan in the season 6 finale of The Walking Dead. The news comes after rumors began circulating the internet that Garret Dillahunt had won the role. If AMC viewers thought the show would never have a villain as evil as The Governor (David Morrisey), guess again. In the comic series, Negan has inflicted more damage on Rick Grimes and co. than any other single force. THR confirms that Dillahunt was indeed in the running for the role, along with Timothy Olyphant, Matt Dillon.
What do you think of the casting? A lot of Justified fans will surely be miffed that Olyphant missed out on the role. Take the conversation to the comment section below and tune in this Sunday to finally find out what happened to Glenn. Did he miraculously survive only to be setup for a momentous meeting with Lucile?

He has been a villain in other stuff though.Sometimes people are hesitant to recast a good guy as a villain, outside of Wrestling.
Morgan is a much better choice, they knocked that one out of the park. I like Olyphant but I think Morgan is a much better choice. He has been a villain in other stuff though.
I think Morgan is a great choice. Of course I don't follow the comics so maybe I just don't understand.I like Olyphant but I think Morgan is a much better choice.
I didnt expect anything less.Bruce Campbell played a hell of a Ronald Reagan on Fargo.
I think he could pull it off in a movie.I didnt expect anything less.
It's very good and season 2 has picked right up where season one left off.Started watching The Leftovers. Only through one episode, but it is pretty intriguing.
Yeah, it feels like they are starting to drag their feet a bit. The last three haven't been all that. You want a shitty episode of Walking Dead? Sunday was it.
AMC announced today that the critically-acclaimed, Emmy-nominated series “Better Call Saul” will return for its second season on Monday, February 15th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. A prequel to the award-winning series “Breaking Bad,” the series follows down-on-his-luck Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) as he navigates the moral dilemmas of the legal world while trying to step out of his older brother’s shadow and make a name for himself. Season one found Jimmy stumble upon a large class-action lawsuit, which led to a promising job opportunity at a large firm. Having arrived at a fork in the road, will Jimmy take the straight and narrow path with a safe corporate job or will he fall back into his “Slippin’ Jimmy” con-artist ways?
“Jimmy McGill’s journey takes surprising, left-handed turns in season two of ‘Better Call Saul.’ He goes to places we’d never, ever expected. As for Mike Ehrmantraut, he’s pulled deeper into a world he was sure he’d left forever,” said Peter Gould, executive producer and showrunner. “We can’t wait to share the next chapter of ‘Better Call Saul’ with the fans who have embraced the show.”
I have been hearing good things about it. Might have to look into it. They are filming a lot of it here in Austin and were shooting at a wine bar a couple blocks from my office not long ago. It's very good and season 2 has picked right up where season one left off.
