Must See Movies

Ant-Man was okay.
I'm going to see it simply cause I like Rudd and Marvel has taught me to give everything a chance despite my lack of interest in certain comics or characters.

I do wish Edgar Wright had seen it through, though.

I like it a lot, but I am a MCU fanboy. Way better than Age of Ultron.
It's not a movie I will remember years from now. Neither was AofU. But they were decent movies worth their time.

This is turning out a lot like the old serials. Each is not really meant to be a stand-alone movie. I just don't get how the two-three year cycle will work as I know it takes that long to get the CGI stuff worked out.

Ant-Man looks like they shot it in a week with the real footage, I just don't get how they made a 1980s Michael Douglas.

This one had a big time comedy edge that I can't say I loved, but it worked for a couple of hours and 20 bucks worth.

I didn't feel cheated when I left the theatre.

Honestly, from what I have read, it doesn't appear that there were huge differences.

I liked some of Wright's other work, but I can't see how that finished product was so radically different from what he could have just finished.

Can't wait. Craig hasn't made a bad Bond movie yet and this will probably be the best of the bunch. I'm holding out hope that Waltz doesn't turn out to be Blofeld, but a #2 type of guy. But either way it should be badass.

Yeah Craig is probably my favorite Bond now, he just gives the character that right amount of weariness and not really giving a fuck, without going too dark.

I would like a little more playfulness with him but that's nitpicking.

He showed that side of him briefly with Vesper at the end of Casino Royale, and then he was betrayed and he's been on a mission ever since to stay all business.

True, just would like to see some of it come back.

I think it will eventualy when he gets a new love interest. All along I had wanted them to remake On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but it's probably too soon.

Isn't this his last Bond film?
It's the last one in his current contract and he's hinted before that he'd like to move on from Bond, but he's so good at it I can't imagine they let him get away so easily. At least let him do it film by film instead of a set number in the deal.

Yeah he is good but I can understand him wanting to do other things, I would like to see him in other stuff.

I saw a preview of Southpaw last night. It was pretty good. The story was completely obvious if you saw the trailer, but Gyllenhaal was great as always as was Forrest Whitaker. Even the kid who played Gyllenhaal's 10 year old daughter gave a good performance. The boxing scenes are on point too.

I'd recommend it if you like boxing movies, but if you've got to pick one to see in the theater I'd wait for Creed. Definitely worth a rental for the boxing scenes and seeing Gyllenhaal act his butt off though.

I ventured out of the house and watched Amy. Well done, but predictably depressing and rather sad.

Ant-man is definitly a thumbs up, best Marvel has done in a while.
I don't know that I'd go that far, but I definitely enjoyed it. They keep pumping out quality films about characters I don't give a shit about, I may actually look forward to the Black Panther movie.

I am just not that excited to see Antman.
I don't know anyone that was excited for it. But Rudd is good, Douglas was great and the action and humor were both solid. Plus people keep mentioning that its more of a caper movie than a super hero movie. I like that description and it puts you in the right mindset for it.
