was a long shot he would ever play here anyway...there's no spot on the line for him this year
Stolen from a CZ guy:
Jerry: I have many leather bound books and my home smells of rich mahogany.
I think it was probably Leary last year, but Free has had up and down seasons in past years.I think the real question is if he should be starting out at LG or RT. I'm not sure who the weaker starter is between Leary and Free.
Yeah that's what I was thinking but Leary is most likely gone next year.I think it was probably Leary last year, but Free has had up and down seasons in past years.
Tough to predict.
Long term you probably want Collins at RT though.
Are you serious? Who do you think would be better to take that spot if Free gets hurt. The blue chip prospect everyone had going in the top half of the first, or the mid/late project that has some talent but injury concerns? Hmmm.... That's a tough one. Also who do you want at RT next year if Free gets hurt Collins or Green?
If Chaz Green is able to develop you probably leave Collins at guard. Of course he may never develop beyond swing tackle. There certainly is some long term potential for this offensive line.Yeah that's what I was thinking but Leary is most likely gone next year.

He's talking if Free gets hurt this year. If that's the case, Leary is LG and Collins is RT.If Chaz Green is able to develop you probably leave Collins at guard. Of course he may never develop beyond swing tackle. There certainly is some long term potential for this offensive line.
The problem is I remember some games where Leary was just blowing people off the ball. He has his mental lapses but physically he was a beast at times last year. I think he slowed down a little as the season went on but man early on he looked like he might be a borderline probowl player.I think it was probably Leary last year, but Free has had up and down seasons in past years.
I should have replied to Schmidty's post who said long term Collins gets moved to RT.He's talking if Free gets hurt this year. If that's the case, Leary is LG and Collins is RT.
I agree with this. That's why I said above if Free gets hurt, Leary would go back to LG with Collins moving to RT. Green is not as good as any of them yet, (if ever) and not ready to start. The problem is I remember some games where Leary was just blowing people off the ball. My hope is with a year or two in the weight room that maybe Green can get to a Free type level. That would be perfect to me. I'm also a little tempted to try Leary out at RT. He was a college LT so it wouldn't exactly be his first time on the outside.I agree with this. That's why I said above if Free gets hurt, Leary would go back to LG with Collins moving to RT.
