On Thursday morning the NFL and NFLPA announced the full amounts of rolled-over salary-cap space for every single NFL team.
Three NFL teams -- the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Cleveland Browns and the Tennessee Titans -- rolled more than $20 million in space into the coming league year.
The Jags were by far the leader in the clubhouse, rolling over more than $32 million in space. They're already in a position where they literally have to spend (in order to hit a spending floor established in the last CBA), which means Dave Caldwell is going to feel like Warren Buffett shopping at Christmas when the free-agency market opens.
Per the union, every single team elected to roll cap space over. Three teams -- the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints -- did not roll over the maximum amount of cap space they were allowed.
The lowest amount rolled over? The Seattle Seahawks, who rolled over less than $12,000 to the 2016 salary cap.
As noted by the NFLPA's release, the salary cap will be set (based on revenues and fancy math formulas) for 2016, then the amounts carried over, plus other adjustments, will be added to those totals.
