Ndamukong Suh a Cowboy? Maybe in fantasy

IRVING, Texas – Ndamukong Suh is on the top of the wish list of just about every fan of just about every team, including the Dallas Cowboys.
Despite the pronouncements from Jerry and Stephen Jones about the risks involved in free agency and not getting the proper value for the price, they always made sure to add a “but” to their statements. As in never say never.
As far as Suh and the Cowboys are concerned, it’s farfetched but that doesn’t mean the possibility of adding the best defensive tackle in football hasn’t been discussed at Valley Ranch.
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager turned ESPN Insider Mark Dominik listed the Cowboys as one of the four teams that should make a run at Suh, along with the New York Giants,Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins.
'Should' and "will" are two different terms. The Giants have never been a frequent player in the big-stakes game of free agency. The Redskins have done it for years with little success. The Dolphins are believed to be the favorites for Suh.
Here’s what Dominik had to say about why the Cowboys should go after Suh:
To me, the never-say-never feeling from Stephen Jones falls into the if-the-price-is-right category. He mentioned Deion Sanders and La’Roi Glover as two high-profile signings the Cowboys have had in free agency, but Glover was viewed as a bargain when he signed.
Suh will not come cheaply. He very likely will command more guaranteed money than Tony Romo ($55 million).
How do you think Bryant would feel about that? He has done everything the Cowboys have asked and produced and then he would see the team go out and spend money on a guy they don’t really know. Yes, Bryant would acknowledge the addition of Suh would make the Cowboys better, but he would also wonder why he has to keep waiting in line to get his big payday.
Suh would fill a need and he would make those around him a lot better, like he did for Willie Young and George Johnson in Detroit. Jeremy Mincey, DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawfordwould become better pass rushers immediately. The secondary would be better, too.
Dominik called Suh this generation’s Reggie White in free agency. For sure the Green Bay Packers got their money’s worth from White.
To me, it’s too much of a fantasy world acquisition for the Cowboys, almost like Adrian Petersoncoming to Dallas.

Here’s what Dominik had to say about why the Cowboys should go after Suh:
The team doesn't appear to have a ton of money to spend but could definitely find a way to create the necessary room if it wants Suh badly enough. With Dez Bryantunder the franchise tag, just letting DeMarco Murray leave in free agency might make enough space. Do you think Jerry Jones wouldn't do that if he thought Suh could bring him a championship? Suh would completely change that defense, which was adequate last season but not at a high enough level to get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl. They're a legit championship contender with Suh.
The Cowboys can create the money to fit Suh under the cap. They absolutely have the cash to do it as well. If Murray leaves, then that would give them more room to sign Suh. They might be able to keep Murray and sign Suh if they really wanted to get creative.
