IRVING, Texas -- A stats-eye view of the Dallas Cowboys’ overtime loss to the Washington Redskins, courtesy of ESPN Stats & Information:

Bringing the heat: The Redskins defense ranked fourth in the NFL in blitz percentage entering Monday Night Football, sending extra pressure on 39.6 percent of opponents’ dropbacks. They tied a season high by sending five or more pass rushers on 60%percent of dropbacks against the Cowboys.

Tony Romo was helped to the locker room in the third quarter after the Redskins recorded their fourth sack from added pressure. The Redskins blitzed again on the final two plays of overtime to seal the victory.

After Romo returned to the game with 1:52 left in the fouth quarter from a back injury, he was sacked and fumbled on the second play from scrimmage. He would finish the rest of the game 4 of 7 passing for 26 yards.

The Redskins sent at least one defensive back on the pass rush for each of their five sacks on Monday night. That is the most such sacks for Washington in a game this season and only the third time its defense has done that since 2008. The Packers did so in Week 16 of 2012 and the Seahawks did it in Week 6 of 2010.

Getting beat deep: Colt McCoy stunned the Cowboys with the help of DeSean Jackson and the deep ball Monday. McCoy attempted six passes that traveled at least 20 air yards downfield. He completed two of three such attempts to Jackson and went 0-for-3 with an interception when targeting Andre Roberts.
